Set in May 1946 in Rome, the movie portrays the Italian capital taken over by the American Allied troops and widespread poverty in the aftermath of WWII. In this context, we follow Delia as she moves between domestic engagements and multiple jobs across the city. Although Delia faces violence and gender-based discrimination, her story is ultimately a message of hope. A black-and-white, neorealist-inspired melodrama, There’s Still Tomorrow was the highest-grossing film in Italy in 2023. Best Film Award: Sydney Film Festival 2024.
