Set in the late 19th century, Godland is about a young Lutheran priest from Denmark who travels to a remote part of Iceland to oversee the establishment of a new parish church. His faith is tested as he is challenged by the harsh conditions of rural life; the deeper he travels into the unforgiving landscape, the more he strays from his purpose, the mission and morality.
