Official Trailer

Christian is a clean shaven, Prius-driving curator of a contemporary art museum in Stockholm. Around the same time he acquires the installation of The Square – a 4 x 4 meter zone wherein we “all share equal rights and obligations” – Christian’s phone and wallet are stolen, along with some precious inherited cufflinks. While he’s out tracking the culprit a couple of outsourced nincompoops are back at the office devising a controversial ad campaign for The Square’s grand opening. The movie endeavours to ask pressing moral questions: Can art save the world? Are people less likely to help a victim when others are present? Winner of the Palme d’Or, 2017 Cannes Film Festival; Best Foreign Language Nominee, 2018 Academy Awards.
