The story of a donkey wandering through modern Poland and Italy, EO is a rare animal film not aimed at kids. Rather, the main goal of this fable is to remind the viewer of humans’ connections (or lack thereof) to the natural world which is a mysterious place when seen through the eyes of an animal. EO, a grey donkey with melancholic eyes, meets good and bad people on his life’s path, experiences joy and extreme pain, and is a being with his own sense of the world and the place he deserves in it.
